The Beauty in the Mundane (Ugliness)

Photography has traditionally had the power to capture the fleeting, unexpected beauty of the world.  Whereas traditional art often sought to idealize the subject, photography has evolved into a medium that embraces the complexity of reality, including its imperfections and decay.  This is the essence of my project ‘The Beauty in the Mundane (Ugliness)’, a profound search for the aesthetics hidden in the mundane and the seemingly ugly.  By focusing on the trivial and the transient, the fundamental question arises as to whether a new form of beauty can emerge from mundanity and ugliness.  More…
